![]() | In the summer of 2008 Barefoot received funding for an environmentally-based project in the North Prospect area. Working in partnership with the North Prospect Neighbourhood Management Team and teachers we devised a project with local schools that reinforced the Management Team’s anti-litter campaign. Artists Maggi and Justine Squire worked with South Trelawny, North Prospect and Weston Mill Primary Schools, creating litter figures and other rubbish-based art in three days of workshops. The whole affair culminated in a day of anti-litter celebration for children and parents from the three schools, with a specially commissioned performance from Stiltskin, a chance to meet local litter wardens and a showing and parade of the weeks work. No one will ever drop litter in North Prospect again! | Project date: June - Oct 2008
