Foot Anstey Metalwork Project

Back in the autumn of 2008 local solicitors Foot Anstey commissioned a project engaging Plymouth schools to help create artwork for their new building in Sutton Harbour.
Barefoot brought together Flameworks artist Katie Lake, St Boniface RC College and Woodford and Pomphlett primary schools to work on the project. Katie visited the schools, running design workshops, creating ideas for a new metalwork screen for Foot Anstey's new entrance.
Pupils from the schools also visited Katie in her workshop at Flameworks Creative Arts Facility where they were able to learn about the processes involved in creating large-scale meatalwork whilst creating their own fire tools to take home.
The finished metal and glass panels are now installed in the waiting area of the Foot Anstey building on North Quay.
