This year's Plymouth Respect Festival took place at the end of October. The colourful 'Fire and Heat' themed parade meandered through the city centre and included a samba band, Chinese dragons, dancing, a beautful elephant (thanks to Beechwood and Oakwood Primaries, who also enjoyed African Story-telling with Abi Alao) and vibrant costumes created by local schools with help from Stiltskin Creative Arts and Theatre Company. Parents and childen from the Barne Barton Arts Group paraded in colourful costumes created during their weekly arts club lead by local resident and Barefoot volunteer Jane Ford.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone that helped to make this year's Respect Festival Parade a great success, and our special thanks to Riverside, Beechwood, Oakwood, Holy Cross, High Street and Victoria Road Primary Schools and to our student volunteers from UCP Marjon. We would also like to thank Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service and Affinity Sutton Housing Association for funding the school workshops and parade.
