Katie Lake is a designer/maker who specialises in artistic large and small scale metalwork, recycled art, design, furniture, sculpture, interpretive panels and wirework.
Offering anything from 2hr long one-off workshops in funky fish and
other crazy creatures made from pipe cleaners, right through to designing and
installing gates and railings, Katie is able to pass on her skills and
knowledge to all ages and abilities. Katie can also offer hands on metalwork
demonstrations in school (cold metal only) or in her studio at Flameworks
Creative Arts Facility in Plymouth.
Stuart Road Primary School and St Joseph’s RC Primary School: Decorative gates designed in partnership with staff and pupils.
Barton Sculpture Project: Sculpture project with Barton Primary School, Torquay involving model making workshops, forging workshops and sculpture.
Foot Anstey Schools Project: Worked with Pomphlett and Woodford Primary schools and St Boniface RC College to design and create a large-scale metal entrance screen for Foot Anstey Solicitors.
Ham Drive Nursery School: Storytellers bench and recycled sound wall for Ham Drive Nursery School.
Big Smile Project: Created Victorian/fairground games for Stuart Road Primary School.
Otterton School: Memorial Sculpture for Otterton School.
