Nigel Whitehead is a Plymouth based visual artist who has experience in large banner making, airbrush art, drawing, painting, polystyrene sculpture, screen-printing, prop construction, negative film and digital photography, photo and video editing and ceramics.
Nigel has a BA Hons in Fine Art and gained experience of educational work whilst working for Plymouth Play Association running children’s and adult workshops, both in-house and in the community.
Plymouth Play Association workshops: Heading up scrap workshops as part of community events for Plymouth Play Association and in conjunction with Plymouth City Council to promote and enhance green spaces in Barne Barton and Whitleigh and also for Stonehouse Street Carnival and Lord Mayor’s Day.
Art of the Community: Nigel worked with Eggbuckland Vale and Salisbury Road Primary schools to make jigsaw murals as part of the Big Arts Festival. This involved designing and producing painted boards to be painted over 2 days by 180 pupils at Eggbuckland Vale Primary School and 30 pupils at Salisbury Road Primary School.
